

| Hui O Hawaii of San Diego was organized over 35 years ago as a social club for Hawaiians away from home and all people interested in Hawaii. Today the Hui O Hawaii is a membership club which promotes Hawaiian culture and social activities with regular meetings, social events, culture classes and luaus. |

| Hui Socials (Ways & Means Committee) September 21 Menu: Carne Asada Tacos, Beans, Rice, fixins. coffee, punch, water. This is a Hui General Membership Meeting, then dinner, entertainment is Hui members show your talent. Directed by Dexter Meyer Socials are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. |
We encourage all families to bring their Keiki and Mo'opnua's that are of appropriate age. This is open to adults as well. Participate and show your Keiki the way of our ancestors. Come learn about the Wa'a, the story of the Momoa, basic canoe safety, the basic stroke and last but not least, paddle and a quick race!!!!! Outrigger workshop will be the same day at the same location only by the water. Wear appropriate clothing (beach attire, board shorts or bathing suit, shorts top), slippas, towel, sunscreen, hat, and most importantly an extra change of clothes....just in case the canoe decides to huli. Come prepared to have fun, bring good positive attitude but most all be ready to learn and be attentive to our host and his team. |
